As you can see, we are now offering
custom 870 Remington Shotguns. What a lot of people do not know is that
I originally started my career in gunsmithing by specializing in shotgun work. After graduating Colorado
School of Trades in 1976, my primary work load was competition shotguns
used in trap shooting. It was at this time that I custom choked many
shotguns.
When I left the employ of Armand Swenson in 1982 I started my own
business and built many pistols and a small quantity of 870's and 1100
Remingtons.
Two years ago, I attended Gunsite's Shotgun course and needed a shotgun.
So I customized an 870 Remington. The course was quite informative and a
lot of fun, and I highly recommend it. In any event, the shotgun worked
without any problems and I went on to win the shoot-off.
During a recent visit from famed photographer, Ichiro Nagata, he
inquired about the dusty shotgun in the rack and I explained to him what
it was and how well it worked. Needless to say I found myself
shotgun-less! We decided then to make more Novak Custom 870 Remingtons.
